Race against the pandemic

Motor sport teams and car makers are usually pitted against each other, but during the COVID-19 pandemic the talents that create success on track are having an impact on the fight against the virus.

The FIA is closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation

Following the COVID-19 global pandemic that broke out at the beginning of the year, the FIA is closely monitoring the evolving situation with its Member Clubs and relevant authorities including Governments and WHO, under the direction of FIA Medical Commission President, Professor Gérard Saillant. The FIA will evaluate the calendar of its forthcoming races and, if necessary, take any action required to help protect the global motor sport community and the wider public.

The FIA is looking for tomorrow’s champions with Rally Star

The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile just announced FIA Rally Star, a global, FIF-funded program to detect, train and develop talented young drivers. Spotted by the National Sporting Authorities, the best young people between 17 and 25 years old will eventually be able to join the World Rally Championship, benefiting from a sporting program set up by the FIA and its partners.
