Nico Hulkenberg will replace Sergio Pérez

Yesterday we got the accouncement that Sergio Pérez will not be able to drive due to being tested positive on COVID-19. Today we get a shock return from Nico Hulkenberg.

Nico Hulkenberg will return to Formula 1 for two races, this has just been announced by Racing Point. We will see him in action today during the Free Practice sessions.

While Racing Point shares the reserve drivers Stoffel Vandoorne and Esteban Gutiérrez with the Mercedes team they opted for a different driver. One of the reasons for that could be because Stoffel Vandoorne is in Berlin for the Formula E, and Esteban Gutiérrez didn’t drive a Formula 1 car in years.
