FIA Historic Motor Sport Commission Expects Calendar Decisions by end of June

The Historic Motor Sport Commission President, Mr Paolo Cantarella, has said he expects to be able to communicate further news regarding events scheduled for late Summer and Autumn by the end of June at the latest.

To date, events that were due to take place in the first half of 2020 have been either postponed or cancelled.

Unlike the major Championships, the FIA Historic competitions are governed mainly by ASNs and Organisers, whose driving forces are essentially volunteers. The competitions are therefore subject to decisions taken by the individual ASN and Organising Committee for each event. The Commission and the FIA are in close contact with them to keep up to date with the latest developments, and to ensure they are ready to make the most informed and appropriate plans for the remainder of the season, including preparations for a potentially revised and reduced calendar and event format.
