Australian Grand Prix – Qualifying results

This morning the drivers finished the three qualifying sessions for the Australian Grand Prix. For the first Grand Prix this season Mercedes will take the first row.

Lewis Hamilton took the pole position with a time of 1:20.486. This is also a new Track Record. Valtteri Bottas took second place with a time of 1:20.598 securing the front row for Mercedes. The third place went to Sebastian Vettel with a time of 1:21.190.

Midfield

In the midfield Haas become the big winner. Romain Grosjean qualified in 6th place. His teammate Kevin Magnussen took 7th place. Renault really missed out on their target of being the best of the rest. They qualified as 11th and 12th. The Williams team qualified on the last positions.
